Our cheer team had the opportunity to partner with the UofA cheerleaders to cheer on all the walkers at the Autism Society of America Autism Walk! Our girls showed up with great energy, big smiles, and lots of encouragement for such an important cause.

Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva stopped by Bonillas on February 16 to read to some of our students for Love of Reading Month!

Multiple schools across the district were visited to celebrate TUSD teachers who earned National Board Certification. Coordinated by the AZK12 Center, this statewide recognition honors a major professional achievement. Congratulations to Jessica Dannelly, who was newly certified!

October is National Farm to School Month! At McNeal, local farmers Aaron Cardona from Arevalos Farms and Bryan Fontes from Double Adobe Farms may not always know exactly which plate their produce ends up on – but earlier this month, they got a special surprise! 

First graders from Bonillas Traditional Elementary Magnet School sent heartfelt thank you cards to show their appreciation for the fresh, local food these farmers help bring to Tucson Unified cafeterias every day.
